Cordis, Auckland by Langham Hospitality Group, hotel in Auckland

Located in the lively uptown area near Upper Queen Street and Karangahape Road, Cordis, Auckland is surrounded by a vibrant neighborhood.

Really nice spa and pool facilities. Rooftop heated pool with a nice hot hot tub. There is also a sauna and steam room in the women's room with crushed ice supplied (apparently you rub this on your skin before/after using the spa or steam room) and there is a vichy shower in there too. Could have easily spent a few hours just relaxing and going in/out of the sauna, pool and hot tub.

FAQs about hotels in Auckland

Thrilling City of Sails and Volcanoes

Called the "City of Sails" due to the large number of yachts anchored in Waitemata Harbor, Auckland is the largest city of both New Zealand and Polynesia. Built on the Auckland Volcanic Field featuring about 48 extinct volcanoes, this city truly is a blast!

Auckland is a real cultural mix with strong Asian, European, Maori and Polynesian influences, celebrated in frequent festivals and sports events. Some examples of these cultures can be seen at the Auckland War Memorial Museum, one of the best in New Zealand. For more, try the upmarket dining of Viaduct Harbour.

Another must-see is the tallest free-standing tower in the Southern Hemisphere, the Sky Tower. If you’re feeling up to the challenge, you can even perform the Sky Jump, a controlled base jump from 630 feet!

Climbing the volcanic cones as well as the stunning Auckland Harbour Bridge will provide unforgettable, panoramic views of the city’s skyline. For a different perspective, why not try a cruise or sea kayaking?

Getting to the city center is an easy trip from Auckland International Airport. Find modern hotels, comfortable motels and cheap hostels on Booking.com, sure to have the perfect place to stay for your trip.

This was our first time in Auckland and just wanted to get to know the city a little better. The Sky Tower is a must see and will give you a great sense of where everything is. We enjoyed some cocktails and food at the restaurant late in the afternoon and watched the sun go down. I was quite surprised at the number of historical and cultural activities available and wish we could have spent more time. If you get out of town you can discover a lot of beautiful parks and monuments

I lived in Auckland previously for about 10 years. So I know the city well. Traffic in this city is terrible, so you might want to avoid leaving your accommodation early in the morning or driving around from 3pm to 6pm on weekdays. It is a very convenient place for shopping, but it is not safe in some parts. t is best to avoid staying in the western and southern parts of Auckland if possible.

Reasonably cheap and comfy for a place in Auckland's CBD. I wouldn't underestimate this place as an option for Auckland accommodation, especially if you're on a tight budget but want to experience the sights of Central Auckland. Nice, quaint and private rooms with well-furnished and clean en suites. Beds are comfortable and usual hotel amenities are well catered for. Check-in and check-out self service is available which I thought was quite neat. Dispite a few nitpicks I was pleased with my visit.

I’ve been staying at this property on and off for over a decade. Its location in central Auckland, easy connection to the motorway in Greenlane, the airport, and other destinations like the Hospitals, Spark Arena and Eden Park is perfect for me. The property itself is still well-maintained and very comfortable, with close proximity to restaurants, fast food, gas stations, supermarkets etc. Newmarket and Parnell are a short drive or bus ride away, as is Mt Eden and the CBD for that matter!

The hotel is directly in the CBD and is a little tricky to find if driving for the first time. It was perfectly located to everything central. I felt it pricey for the offerings. The staff were all great and attentive. I'm just not sure how it differentiates to the SO/Auckland or the others in the area to charge the extra vs. what the other hotels in the area offer.
